Dikili’s thermal region is an area, which produces its unique mud since three thousand years. Geothermal sources in and around Dikili has a big contribution for health and thermal tourism in the district and in Turkey. Dikili has a coast of 40 kilometers with unique bats and blue flagged beaches. There is no other coastal holiday town in Turkey offering both the sea and the thermal sources.

Dikili's thermal springs of three thousand years of age, give health and healing to its visitors with its modern thermal facilities. Historical Nebiler Hot Spring, natural Koca Oba Spring and Mud Hot Spring are famous with their healthy mud. Dikili's thermal springs and mud offers healing for the rheumatism, the calcification, the skin and the kidney stone patients.

This valuable and quality mud is naturally being produced for three thousand years in Dikili. You may both have a great holiday in the company of the warm sun and charming beaches or have a thermal cure for the entire year.

In Kaynarca, known as Dikili's geothermal region, there is hot water flow rate of 200 litre/sec. through the stream Bakircay. The geothermal energy produced from the wells is aimed to be used in Thermal Tourism, Health Tourism, Greenhouses, Fishing and Air Conditioning. Also it is planned to have electricity with the help of new technologies.

 

Currently there are more than 20 geothermal wells in Dikili. By producing geothermal energy, air pollution problem in and around Dikili is being solved, natural sources are being evaluated, thermal tourism is promoted with the infrastructure support, building greenhouses and fishing is promoted with the cheap heating opportunity. By these developments, Dikili and around is becoming a thermal hot spring town and Aegean Region is becoming the center of thermal tourism and physical treatments in Turkey.
